After riding a bus (quite comfy) for 5.5 hours. We arrived at Shantow and settled down in our borrowed flat (huge, well furnished) quickily and paid a visit to the hospital that we are going to be working at for the coming week.
The hospital is small when compared to Prince of Wales...much smaller, only about 100 odd beds. they only have paediatrics and OBS/GYN. They also run a OPD. I was introduced to the department heads by the Chief of the Hospital, who is a friend of my mum.
The next day we were introduced to the ward and was met by the staff of the paediatrics department. There, we follow their rounds, saw some patients, tried to figure out what they write in the patient notes (in chinese, illegible). I will post some photos after I go back to Hong Kong to show some interesting things we saw during it.
